What is your favorite thing about hunting or fishing?
My favorite thing about hunting and fishing is the chase and
the feeling when I have success. I love continuing to learn
new things every time I go out, and it's great to make new
friends who are also outdoorsmen.

What was your best day in the field hunting or fishing?
I appreciate any day on the water, but who doesn’t like to
tell a story of their fondest memories? When I was a teenager I was fishing in
a small river located just a few miles from my house. I had fished this river
for all my life, but this day was exceptionally different. It was a cloudy day
and I was wading, something in the air just felt right. On the first cast I
reeled in a 3lb smallmouth bass, then another, and another. I caught over a
dozen May spawning smallies that day. To make the day even more special, my
Father was with me, and together we caught a ton! The biggest weighing in at 4½lbs. We had a
blast and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. The best thing about
being an outdoorsman isn’t killing huge bucks or catching lots of fish, it’s
the memories you are left with.
Tell us about how you started in the outdoors, and why do you maintain the lifestyle...
I’ve been hunting and fishing for as long as I can remember.
I shot at my first buck with a .410 when I was 5 years old, and I’ve continued
to live my life with a passion for the outdoors. My father is an avid hunter,
fisherman, and trapper and he has passed on the lifestyle to me. He has been a
huge influence in my life and has helped me immensely by passing on his
knowledge. The rush from hunting and fishing combined with a satisfaction of success
is what drives me to continue my passion for the outdoors today. I can assure
you I wouldn’t be successful in my everyday life without hunting and fishing.
